Crazy Little Thing Called Love became successful on the U.S. listings on 23rd Feb, 1980 in addition to the subsequent four weeks at the same time as it was positioned to be on second position in the United Kingdom. This week the American Idol Season 9 Top 11 contestants were mentored by teen sensation Miley Cyrus and took the stage to perform Billboard #1 Hits on Tuesday. Tim Urban tackled Queen’s classic “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” (watch video below) and failed to deliver a solid performance again.Articulated by Randy, “the vocals were so boring.” Ellen termed it “an audition for High School Musical.” Kara believes he’s “not there yet.” Simon termed it “pointless and silly.” Tim may not be the best singer but he sure knows how to work up the crowd. He had a lot of fun sliding around on stage but as Ellen DeGeneres said, it was “too corny” and looked more like a “High School Musical” audition.
Kara DioGuardi did not like his interaction with the audition because he is “not at that place yet” and he is “not established yet”. To Simon Cowell it was complete rubbish – two “silly” performances in two weeks.
